Sizing guide
What size light fits your room?
- light diameter for your room
- across, if it hangs over the table
- from the tabletop to the bottom of the light
How this is worked out
Add the room length and width in feet and use the total as the diameter in inches. Over a table, pick a light one half to two thirds of the table width. On an 8 ft ceiling the bottom of the light sits 30 to 36 in above the tabletop; add about 3 in for every extra foot of ceiling. Away from a table keep at least 7 ft (84 in) clear underneath.
